Aisling 5 – 0 Granville

Granville u10 were away to Aisling last Saturday morning. Both teams had chances in the first half but failed to find the net. 0n the turn however, Granville found themselves 2 down and heads started to drop. The final score was 5 nil as Aisling out played them in all areas.

26/4/08
Granville 2 - 2 Regional

Ryan Kennedy saved Granville blushes as he scored in either half to share the spoils. In an evenly fought contest the home side took the lead after some great play from the midfield. Evan Bromell passed a long ball in the path of  Ryan Kennedy and his pile driver evaded the keeper. Minutes later Regional were back on level par and took the lead mid way in the second half. As the final whistle loomed and it looked as if the numerous chances that evaded Granville would haunt them. Granville were awarded a corner and Shane McNamara whipped the ball into the box and when Regional failed to clear after a big scramble the ball crossed the line after Ryan Kennedy managed to get the faintest of touches.

19/4/08
Granville 5 - 0 Pike

This was our u10 first home game of the season when they entertained Pike Rovers in Glenbrook. There was a hatful of goals in this rather one sided affair. For the first couple of minutes both sides missed easy chances but eventually Granville opened the scorning when Colm O' Brien  took the ball down and his shot was initially stopped by the keeper but he scored from the rebound. Minutes later Granville doubled their scoring when Ciaran Rainsford hit a long ball into the path of Evan Bromell who unleashed a pile driver into the net. As the half loomed Granville got their third when Shane McNamara hit a swirling ball into the box and Ryan Kennedy rose high and headed the ball into the net with the faintest of touches.

On the resumption it was still one way traffic as Granville dominated midfield and Pike netminder took off some great saves to deny the home side another. Jack Coffey who was having a great game raced up the wing and hit a wonder shot from 20 yards to leave the keeper stranded. With the last kick of the game Adam Purcell side footed the ball to Shane McNamara who nutmeged  the defender and hit a wonder goal into bottom corner.

Corbally  1 - 1 Granville

Granville u10 were away to Corbally and went one up early in the first half when Jamie McNamara hit a wonder goal for 15 yards to leave the keeper stranded. For long periods Granville controlled the game and had the home side defence constantly pinned in their own half. Unfortunately they never took advantage of all the possession and things back fired with a minute left in the game. A long ball into the box was slotted into the their net to give Corbally a share of the spoils.
